Andrew Lowinger, Principal
Andrew is founding principal of DMC Capital Funding . From his roots in the semiconductor revolution of the 1970s, he has provided leadership to the various companies that are part of the DMC group of companies, and maintained a leading market share across numerous consumer electronics categories.
For 35 years, Andrew has successfully identified key trends in technology. Understanding their potential, he has transformed raw technologies into meaningful consumer experiences. Along the way, Andrew has created a number of market-leading businesses; for example, he led US Electronics to become a leading supplier of telecommunication products, partnering with major brands, and yielding billions of dollars in sales. Through crisp operational execution, judicious use of financial resources, and focused application of skills, companies under Andrew’s leadership profitably compete with established industry players.
Andrew brings to DMC Capital Funding’s investments a keen understanding of markets and consumers, finely honed product development and marketing expertise, and real-world financial acumen.
Andrew received a BA in Economics (Honors) from Brooklyn College.
Ben Lowinger, Managing Director
Ben is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, marketing, and distribution — and leads the executive teams of the various group businesses. Ben has been responsible for successfully evolving and expanding the enterprise and leading the company to develop new and innovative solutions, collaborating with sales, product management, and engineering to deliver best in breed products and services.
With over 15 years of global operations experience across varied business sectors — from electronics to creative and media — Ben has forged partnerships with key stakeholders, engineering, and vendors to improve core processes and create efficient and scalable solutions. Working with group departments, Ben develops the strategies and leads the various existing and new operations programs, focusing on execution to drive revenue and improve operational efficiency while maintaining a scalable cost-efficient operational structure.
Ben’s experience allows him to bring analytical and operational insight into new opportunities, and bring the resources of the DMC group to bear in accelerating the growth of the firm’s portfolio companies.
Ely has fifteen years of private practice and corporate legal and operations experience, and provides a unique marriage of strong legal skills and practical business and operational acumen.
Previously, Ely provided IDT Corporation — a diverse telecommunications, media and technology conglomerate — with executive legal and strategic guidance as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of IDT Telecom, and, for two of those years, as Chief Legal Officer of parent IDT Corporation. Ely managed IDT’s international legal department, including an in-house staff of 15-30 attorneys, additional support personnel, and myriad outside counsel relationships. During his tenure at IDT, Ely was a key member of executive management, playing a primary role in all operational and strategic initiatives worldwide, including all M&A, financing, regulatory, and lobbying initiatives and restructuring activities globally.
Prior to IDT, Ely spent over eight years with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, specializing in complex M&A and securities transactions on behalf of clients ranging from Tyco and Bear, Stearns to start-ups seeking private and/or public financing. Ely has participated in over $50 billion in M&A, corporate finance, and securities transactions.
Ely received his BA in Economics from Yeshiva University and his JD from Yale Law School.
Uday is an accomplished deal originator with over 14 years of success developing business within start-up and established company environments. Specializing in new product launches, Uday has fostered relationships with C-level executives at public, private, and mid-market companies, and has sourced corporate loan opportunities with private equity sponsors, investment banks, intermediaries, and finance companies.
Previously, Uday was a senior member of the deal origination team for a $2 billion alternative asset manager that focused on corporate loans with equity upside to mid-market private and small cap public companies.
Uday received his BA degree from New York University, and has Certificates in Investment Banking, Financial Statement Analysis, and Credit Analysis.
