COPIA Social eReading Platform Announces International Availability and Localization

COPIA sponsors "Tools of Change" panel at Frankfurt International Book Fair

FRANKFURT, GERMANY – October 6, 2010  –  COPIA, the first social eReading experience that combines content, community, collaboration and e-commerce, has announced that COPIA will be available internationally shortly after launch, and will be offering international content to serve all major markets. COPIA's U.S. launch is scheduled for later this month.

The COPIA platform is available across an array of computing, mobile, personal entertainment and eReading devices and enables consumers of all ages to experience reading books, magazines, newspapers, and other forms of digital content in a completely new way.  COPIA empowers users to discover, enjoy, share and purchase a wide variety of digital content.

At the Frankfurt International Book Fair, COPIA will sponsor the "Tools of Change" conference where the leading thinkers in the publishing industry will discuss and examine the major issues facing the entire marketplace.

"With our international launch, COPIA is expanding the notion of community across the globe – now users will have the chance to interact with people from other countries to unite over content and engage in a larger discussion.  The goal of COPIA is to marry community, content, and commerce and to provide one platform where all of these crucial elements are easily accessible," said Ben Lowinger, Executive Vice President of COPIA. "The Frankfurt International Book Fair is the world's leading gathering of companies, individuals and thought leaders who care about books.  They will be blown away by COPIA."

The COPIA platform is accessible across all digital touch-points including eReaders, notebooks, netbooks, tablets and smartphones. The platform is currently in private beta mode and is scheduled to launch with a browser solution, iPad application, and PC/Mac application, adding iPhone, BlackBerry and Android apps in the fourth quarter.
